Vivek Tiwari murder case: Wife slams Arvind Kejriwal for relating her husband's death to religion
Politicians turned Vivek’s house into political battleground
LUCKNOW: Hours after the cremation of Apple executive Vivek Tiwari, politicians of all colours started flocking his house in New Hyderabad, turning it into a political battleground on Sunday.
From deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya to UPCC chief Raj Babbar, all visited Tiwari's house to console the grieving family. However, there was no dearth of political statements.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke to Tiwari's widow Kalpana and assured all help.
He later tweeted in Hindi, saying that Tiwari was killed despite being a Hindu. "Vivek Tiwari was a Hindu? Then why was he killed? BJP leaders rape Hindu girls across the country? Don't be blindfolded. BJP doesn't favour Hindus. If they have to murder all Hindus for power, they won't think twice," his tweet read.
Reacting to Kejriwal's tweet, Kalpana Tiwari told ANI that it was wrong for the politician to use religion for his vested political interests. She said, "Kejriwal should not have tweeted such a thing and bring caste and religion in all matters. Does Modi ji's government look at people based on such a standardisation? No, it keeps every one at the same pedestal. But Kejriwal's tweet on the other hand is uncalled for".
‘UP Police working on lines of Taliban’
She added, "He has no sensitivity towards what has happened in one family and he should relate everything to religion and do politics over it. He should think over his tweet again."
AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who was the first to arrive, too a pot shot at CM Yogi Adityanath, saying it was shocking that the UP CM, who used to roam Kerala, Karnataka and Mauritius for party promotion was not getting time to meet the family of the deceased. “This was Hindustan, not Taliban,” he said “adding “people are living in fear in the state, thanks to the so-called ‘Ram Rajya’. You cannot fire bullets at anybody anywhere without any reason. This government is turning Hindustan into Taliban. UP Police is working on the lines of Taliban.”

UPCC chief Raj Babbar, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, he calls himself ‘Pradhan Sevak’ but has become a ‘Pravachan Mantri’. “There might be a possibility of his pravachan as today is Sunday. Par jab aisi ghatnayein hoti hain tab woh maun rehte hain (He, however, remains mum when such incidents take place),” he added.
Babbar said the job should be provided at the earliest with no ‘sarkari herpher’. “I must thank the media. If the issue was not raised to this level, the Yogi government and police would have tried cover up like several incidents,” he said, adding “I do not want to give it a political turn. Our party workers are with the family,” he added. Deptuy CMs Keshav Maurya and Dinesh Sharma also visited the grieving family. Maurya said this was a tragic incident and the government was with the family. “This is our family. We will take strict actions so that such incidents are not repeated. The guilty would not be spared.”
Attacking Congress, AAP and SP, he said they should stop politicising such a sensitive issue for political gains. Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia also met the family and assured Kalpana of a job in LMC.
