Christians urged to fulfil the will of the Lord – Reverend Minister

By Gladys Abakah

Kweikuma (W/R), April. 13, GNA – The Reverend Paul Kenneth Abbew, the Head Pastor of the Assemblies of God, Glory and Power Centre, at Kweikuma in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, has urged Christians to try and fulfil the Lords will as they commemorate the Palm Sunday.

Palm Sunday, which is marked yearly by Christians symbolises the Lord’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem for the redemption of the world.

Rev Abbew made the call at the Palm Sunday service on the theme: “Fulfilling the Will of the Master,” quoting from Luke 19:28-40.

“The triumphant entry into Jerusalem mark a remarkable beginning in the lives of Christians worldwide, therefore the need to fulfil His will as the scriptures say,” he said.

He explained that Jesus Christ came into the world to fulfil the will of His father by dying on the cross for the sins of mankind to save all who believed in him.

This was why believers needed to also fulfil any tasks given unto them through revelations and spiritual giftings.

The Reverend Minister noted that for a believer to fulfil the will of the Master, there was the need to be obedient and listen to instructions from the Lord, as well as people who had authority over them.

He encouraged all Christians not to hide their glory but rather activate and make use of it in fulfilment of the Lord’s desire to bring others to the saving grace of God.
