1. A young 24-year-old American man has been detained after an alleged unauthorized visit to a remote island in the Indian Ocean. The man illegally visited North Sentinel Island in the Bay of Bengal, where the inhabitants are known for their strict aversion to any attempts to interact with the outside world. Upon arrival on the island, the man went ashore and tried to make contact with the natives, after which he left them a can of soda and a coconut as a gift. The tourist also managed to record a short video with the islanders. The American's actions caused serious concern among the Indian authorities, since the Sentinelese react extremely aggressively to strangers. This tribe is considered one of the most isolated ethnic groups on the planet.
