The Embassy of China in Brunei Darussalam extended Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the people of Brunei Darussalam.
Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Xiao Jianguo said Hari Raya Aidilfitri marks the successful conclusion of Ramadhan and is a celebration of friendship, gratitude and unity.
He shared that during Ramadhan, embassy officials travelled across the country, joining iftar gatherings with Muslim friends and shared in the joy of the holy month. The embassy also organised Ramadhan donation ceremonies to strengthen ties between the Chinese and Bruneians.
“These initiatives deepened our friendship and mutual understanding, while fostering appreciation for cultural integration and the exchange of knowledge between civilisations,” he said. He added that China-Brunei relations have entered a new chapter, with both sides working to implement key agreements following His Majesty’s state visit to China in February.
“China remains committed to strengthening bilateral ties and realising the vision of a China-Brunei community with a shared future, bringing greater benefits to both nations,” he said.
The ambassador extended well wishes to His Majesty for good health and prosperity, and for Brunei’s continued peace and harmony.
He also wished the Muslim community in Brunei a blessed Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
