The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB), through its Faculty of Usuluddin, continued its Dakwah Melalui Tadabbur Al-Quran dan Al-Hadith programme for government departments in Brunei Darussalam. The special session was held in conjunction with the 41st National Day celebration and the holy month of Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah.
Held yesterday at the Theatre Hall of the Brunei-Muara District Office under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the programme was attended by female officers and staff of the ministry.
The session focused on The Virtues of Lailatul Qadar, delivered by Director of the Graduate Studies Centre at KUPU SB Dr Norasimah binti Haji Omar and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin Hajah Tiara binti Haji Basman.
The Tadabbur session highlighted the significance of Lailatul Qadar, described as a night better than a thousand months. The speakers emphasised that the exact night remains a divine secret known only to Allah the Almighty, encouraging Muslims to increase their acts of worship during the last 10 nights of Ramadhan. This includes Qiyamullail (night prayers), recitation of Al-Quran, supplication, zikir (remembrance of Allah the Almighty) and charitable acts.
The speakers reminded attendees of the immense spiritual rewards of worshipping on Lailatul Qadar, urging them to maximise these blessed nights.
The programme aims to expand religious outreach to government agencies and the wider community by instilling the practice of Tadabbur (reflection) on Al-Quran and Hadith as a guide for daily life. The next session will be held tomorrow for male officers and staff of the Ministry of Home Affairs at the same venue.
Meanwhile, KUPU SB concluded its Ihya Ramadhan 1446 Hijrah programme with a closing ceremony featuring a Tedarus Al-Quran session, communal iftar and the distribution of Barakah Ramadhan contributions on Wednesday. The event, held at Tarbiah Hall, was organised by KUPU SB’s Student Affairs Division, the Student Representative Council, the Student Association, Nadi Al-Qawi Al-Amin and the Fikrah Club from the Faculty of Usuluddin.
