Sawyer Lynn Oesch, 15, of Princeton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
She was born on May 8, 2009, in Corydon, Iowa, the daughter of Galen Ray Oesch and Julie Ann Barton.
Sawyer was a student at Princeton High School and attended the Princeton Methodist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Julie Ann (Brian) McDowell of St. Joseph, Missouri; father, Galen Ray (Jessica) Oesch of Decatur, Iowa; sister, Haley Oesch of Princeton, Missouri; and brother, Michael Oesch of Leon, Iowa. She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Garry and Debra Moore of Princeton, Missouri, and Mike and Beth Barton of Tucson, Arizona; paternal grandparents, Maynard and Louise Oesch of Mercer, Missouri; and paternal great-grandmother, Mary Ann Lincoln of Leon, Iowa.
Additional survivors include stepbrothers Glenn Oesch Jr., Gustus Oesch, and Grant Oesch; stepsister, Jamie Oesch; and step-grandparents, Ivan and Darla Stoltzfus of Leon, Iowa.
Funeral services in Missouri will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Princeton Methodist Church in Princeton, Missouri, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Princeton, Missouri. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Funeral services in Iowa will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2025, at Living Hope Church in Leon, Iowa, also under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Living Hope Church.
Burial will take place at noon, Friday, March 28, 2025, at Freedom Cemetery in Cainsville, Missouri.
Friends and family are encouraged to wear something green in memory of Sawyer.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses and to establish a future FFA scholarship in Sawyer’s memory.
