Grant Ellis Gets Engaged to Juliana Pasquarosa During Shocking ‘The Bachelor’ Season 29 Finale

He put a ring on it! Grant Ellis got engaged to Juliana Pasquarosa on The Bachelor‘s shocking season 29 finale.

Grant, 31, popped the question to Juliana, 28, during a romantic beachside proposal in the Dominican Republic. The day trader got down on one knee and presented the Massachusetts native with a stunning Neil Lane diamond ring, ending his hunt for love that spanned across two Bachelor Nation shows.

“Grant, not too long ago, there was a part of me that believed I may not be deserving of true love. But today, I stand in front of the man who gave me a reason to fight those beliefs,” Juliana told Grant at the final rose ceremony. “We’ve come so far Mr. Ellis, from trying to win you over with my lack of basketball skills to understanding our deeper connection … I want to protect your heart with every piece of mine, and I want to celebrate the good days with you. … I believe that between you, me, our families and God, that sky’s the limit and I just want you to know that I love you.”

“Juliana, since our first night playing the piano and getting to know you, we’ve always had a connection. Through this whole journey, you’ve always been someone that has inspired me … I truly believe you are somebody who is my best friend. … I’ll be there for you as your man, as your friend, as your partner. Juliana will you marry me?” Grant asked her, to which she replied, “Yes.”

Prior to the proposal, Grant was torn between Juliana and his other finalist, Litia Garr. He and the venture capitalist, 31, said “I love you” to each other during the fantasy suites in The Bachelor’s season 29 penultimate episode.

“I think the maturity that you bring is big. I like the ground that you stand on, and I know where your priorities are, and I know what’s important to you, it’s what you are on the inside that I can see myself with you,” Grant told Litia. “And see you as my wife, because I do love you.”

She responded, “I love you, too.”

During the same episode, Grant confessed that he was also falling hard for Juliana, revealing, “I’m so wrapped up in my feelings for this woman. I feel like she could be my wife.”

Going into the final rose ceremony, Grant was conflicted about proposing and which contestant to choose.

“I never thought it’d be possible to be in love with multiple women. I don’t know how to navigate it. Stay tuned for my demise,” the New Jersey native said in the promo for the final episode after sending Zoe McGrady home after the Fantasy Suite dates in the episode that aired on March 17.

Who Do You Want to See as the Next Golden Bachelor?

Fans already saw in the show’s teaser trailer what a difficult time he had with choosing between Juliana and Litia.

“You feel like you know what you want to do?” host Jesse Palmer asked Grant, who replied, “The truth is … I don’t know.”

“We got both women. They’re here on standby. And of course, I have to know which one to send first,” Jesse told Grant, referring to how the first woman is traditionally the one sent home prior to the contestant who gets the final rose.

“I don’t know if you could tell from watching that from my reaction, [but] I was surprised. That was something that I haven’t encountered yet as the host in the last four years on any of the franchises,” Jesse told Us Weekly on January 21. “Normally, I think, our leads have a little bit more clarity — a lot more clarity — heading into the final day. And I really think that’s how conflicted Grant really was.”

“Without giving away too much, that was authentic and it’s real and it’s not an edit,” the former NFL player said of Grant’s tough decision, although he added that the reality star was “very, very happy with how things ended.”

Grant originally appeared on Jenn Tran‘s season 21 of The Bachelorette. He was sent home just before the hometown dates on the August 12, 2024, episode. The same night, ABC announced Grant had been cast as the lead on The Bachelor season 29.
