Spreading Ramadhan blessings
The Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the auditorium hall on Saturday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the guest of honour, attended as BKISHHB Advisory Board Chairman.
BKISHHB Advisory Board members, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos and Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the PMO Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu were also present.
The Khatam Al-Quran ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul lstighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour, followed by mass recitation of Surah Adh-Dhuha to Surah An-Nas. It continued with the recitations of Doa Khatam, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Affairs Officer at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Malik Mosque Kampong Tungku/Katok Aiman Hafizunizam bin Mohd Zaimeerol.
The guest of honour presented donations to two BKISHHB members, and guests were invited to join iftar before proceeding to the mass Maghrib prayer led by Aiman Hafizunizam. – Lyna Mohamad
Ramadhan Tedarus concludes
The Kampong Perpindahan Serasa Mosque concluded the nightly Ramadhan Tedarus with a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony on Saturday.
Co-Advisor of the Mosque Takmir Committee Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Mohamad Tawih bin Abdullah, Dato Seri Setia Haji Kasim bin Haji Lamat and Acting Village Head of RPN Kampong Serasa/Kampong Serasa Abdul Hamid bin Haji Zainin were present at the event, which also saw the presentation of donations to orphans and souvenirs to the Tedarus readers and those involved throughout the 21 nights of Tedarus and the mosque Muslimah group.
It concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Doa Selamat. – Lyna Mohamad
Orphans, senior citizens receive donations
Some 50 members of the Kampong Junjongan Women’s Association (PEWAJA) attended a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan at the As-Salaam Mosque, Kampong Junjongan on Saturday.
Advisor of the PERTIWI Association Datin Hajah Fatimah binti Dato Seri Setia Abang Haji Razali, the guest of honour, presented donations to four orphans and basic necessities to 19 senior citizens among PEWAJA family members. The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar by Messuri binti Musa who also led the recitation of Khatam Al-Quran.
It continued with the recitations of Surah Al-Fatihah by Zainab bin Haji Braim, takhtim by Siti Nor Azaimah binti Haji Tindas, Doa Khatam by Norazemah binti Haji Azamain and Dikir Marhaban by Norhayati binti Abdullah.
The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Messuri. Spouse of the Kampong Junjongan Village Head Hajah Eta Noorleta binti Abdullah and special guests were also present. – Lyna Mohamad
