PRESIDENT Donald Trump plans to extend an invite to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City was hammered by the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX last month.
But Trump still wants Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and their teammates to visit the White House.
He was in attendance at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana to watch the Super Bowl last month.
Trump became the first sitting President to attend a Super Bowl and was loudly cheered by fans in the stadium when he flashed up on the big screen.
Champions of the four major sports leagues in the United States are usually invited to visit the President in Washington DC.

The Philadelphia Eagles will head to the White House on April 28.
Speaking to OutKick's Clay Travis, President Trump explained the planned Chiefs visit is because of Covid.
"I look forward to having the Eagles," Trump said.
"And, one other thing, we’re gonna have the Kansas City Chiefs after that because they missed their turn because of Covid."

Kansas City beat the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Super Bowl LIV.
The game took place in Miami, Florida on February 2, 2020.
One month later, the world was shut down after the coronavirus pandemic.
The Chiefs have visited the White House in following years when Joe Biden was President.
They won the Super Bowl in 2023 and 2024 and were denied a three-peat by the Eagles this year.
Kansas City hasn't yet publicly commented on Trump's plans to extend an invite.
After their win over the Eagles in 2023, Kelce tried to speak at the President's podium in Washington DC.
Mahomes turned from quarterback into a Secret Service agent by ushering Kelce away.
The following year, Biden joked, "Welcome back to the White House!
"I'd have Travis come up here, but God only knows what he'd say.
"Travis come here. It's all yours pal."
Kelce accepted the invite from the President.
He said, "My fellow Americans, it's nice to see you all yet again.
"I'm not gonna lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here I'd get tased, so I'm going to go back to my spot."
Speaking ahead of this year's Super Bowl, Mahomes was looking forward to playing in front of President Trump.

Mahomes said, "It's always cool to be able to play in front of a sitting President, someone that is in the top position in our country.
"I didn't see that clip but it's cool to hear that he's seen me play football and respects the game that I play."
