Actor Yash is set to make his highly anticipated return to the big screen with Toxic: A Fairy-Tale for Grown-Ups, slated for release on March 19, 2026. This marks his first film since KGF: Chapter 2 (2022), which remains one of India’s biggest hits, earning over ₹1300 crore. The announcement was accompanied by a new poster, offering a glimpse into the film’s gangster setting and Yash’s intense look.
A Tribute to Classic Film Noir
Fans first got a glimpse of Toxic through a teaser released months ago, showcasing the protagonist in a club, indulging in revelry with women and alcohol. The film seems to pay homage to the classic film noir genre, popular in 1940s-50s Hollywood. The newly revealed poster features Yash in a fedora, wielding a Tommy gun as he walks toward the viewer. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for the critically acclaimed Moothon, Toxic promises a stylish and gripping cinematic experience.

Box Office Clash: Toxic vs Love & War
Toxic is set for a major box office clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Releasing just a day apart, the films will create one of the biggest showdowns since Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again in 2024.
Yash and Ranbir’s Epic Face-Off Continues in Ramayana
Interestingly, Yash and Ranbir will also share the screen in Nitesh Tiwari’s two-part Ramayana, where Yash portrays Raavana and Ranbir plays Lord Rama. The first installment of this epic adaptation is slated for release later in 2026.

Toxic boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and others. Meanwhile, Yash, who usually stays away from the limelight, made a rare appearance in a Coca-Cola advertisement on Saturday, surprising fans with his presence.
