Jeannine (Marshall) Wilson
OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Jeannine (Marshall) Wilson, 72, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine passed away on March 14, 2025. She was born on Nov. 25, 1952, in Portland, Maine, to her loving parents Jean and Angela Wilson.
Jeannine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished time spent with her family. She found immense joy in watching her granddaughters grow up and treasured every moment with family and friends.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed swimming, camping, fishing, downhill skiing, and simply being in nature. Her passion for music led her to sing with the community choir Voices in Harmony, through which she had the opportunity to travel overseas. She was also an active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Saco-Biddeford and found great fulfillment in the friendships she built within her church community and at Ferry Beach.
A creative spirit, Jeannine loved making cards and crafts. She was an avid reader who completed an impressive 200 books with her book club. She also enjoyed playing mahjong with friends.
Jeannine pursued her passion for helping others by earning her degree in social work as a non-traditional student at the University of Southern Maine. Her dedication to her work and commitment to making a difference in the lives of others were evident throughout her career and personal life.
Jeannine’s warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm for life touched all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
She is survived by her husband, David Marshall; her daughter, Natalie Gould and her husband Chris; and her beloved granddaughters, Angela and Kayla Gould. She also leaves behind her sisters, Kathleen Wilson and her partner Gene Cote, Diana Wilson and her spouse Kathy Neddeau; her nephew, Benjamin Wilson; and a large extended family including the Reardon, DiMatteo, Wilson and Profenno clans. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Peter Wilson.
A celebration of life will be held on April 26 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Saco-Biddeford, located at 60 School Street, Saco, Maine.
