EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) - There always seems to be work that needs to be done around the house, but did you know there is money for you to use to help make it all happen? That was the purpose of an information session at Unitarian Universalist Congregation Sunday afternoon.

A representative from Wisconsin Conservation Voters, Quinn Rowe, wanted to spread awareness of funds available through the Inflation Reduction Act. It can go towards projects that involve solar panels, insulation and other ways to make the home more energy efficient.

“People are still unaware of all these benefits that are available for them. They’ve been out for about 2 years. Some of the rebates have been out for a few months. People haven’t heard about them yet. We’re just letting people know this money is for you to do your home improvements,” said Rowe.

It is recommended to check if you meet the income requirements. When you are ready to take advantage of the federal dollars available, be sure to get a home assessment to know exactly what work needs to be done.
