Obit - Watson, Robert

Robert Watson, known to everyone that knew him as Bobby, a devout husband, father, son, brother and genuine friend, departed this life unexpectedly on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at a local hospital.

He, his wife and two sons resided in Ocoee, where they have spent the past eight years of marriage and began raising a precious little family. He was a graduate of Walker Valley High School, Class of 2006.

Bobby was known for his quick wit and genuine personality. He always had a caring heart and would do anything for anybody. He and his family had been attending First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, also the church Bobby and Meghan made their vows. A protector of his family, including his two four legged companions, Captain and Shep, he devoted himself to his family — which was his greatest accomplishment.

Often, when one encountered Bobby, he would be donning the Big Orange, quoting one of his favorite movie quotes and spreading joy to those around. On New Year's 2017, he was blessed to have met the love of his life, Meghan, the two of them were raising their two boys, Maverick and Madden. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne and Wanda Watson; and maternal grandmother, Mary Davis.

Left to cherish the many memories, include his loving wife, Meghan Maples Watson; beloved sons, Maverick Watson and Madden Watson; parents, Joe and Rosetta Davis Watson; brother, Andy (Asia) Watson; niece, Sadie Grace Watson; maternal grandfather, Boyd Davis; and mother-in-law, Rhonda Milen. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends also survive.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Payton Cody and Pastor Mike Whitmire officiating.

His family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
