Officially on country radio.
As of this weekend, Muscadine Bloodline has their first-ever single charting at country radio, and that would be “10-90,” which entered the Top 50 on this week’s published US Country Radio (Mediabase) chart.
It’s one of two charts use to officially track their songs performance, and an impressive feat from a duo that has done it all independently, grinding for years and playing show after show all over the country. For many years, they were ignored by the mainstream, though they’ve put out some truly fantastic music, including their most recent project The Coastal Plain, that this song was featured on.
While country radio obviously isn’t what it used to be in terms of making or breaking an artists career thanks to streaming and social media, it’s still a big accomplishment, especially without support from a major label:

The duo is gearing up to put out a new album next month called …And What Was Left Behind, which will include already- released songs like “Ain’t For Sale” with Josh Meloy and “Chickasaw Church of Christ,” and is slated for release on April 11th.
Muscadine Bloodline is made up of Mobile-bred friends Charlie Muncaster and Gary Stanton, who met in 2012 when Stanton opened a show for Muncaster’s band. They officially formed Muscadine Bloodline in 2016, and named the band after muscadine grapes, which grow in the South.
For nearly a decade now, they’ve been forming their own, unique sound in country music, which is deeply inspired by their Alabama heritage, particularly stories and tales about the blue-collar melting pot of their coastal hometown, Cajun fishing villages and idyllic land where they grew up.
It remains to be seen if this one will continue to climb the charts, but with a big spot opening up on Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind tour this year, after opening for Post Malone on his F-1 Trillion tour last year, they’re well on their way to becoming a much more well-known duo in the mainstream part of the genre, which is just really dang cool and well-deserved.
Consider this a win for country music at large, and turn it up…
