In a rambling, nonsensical explanation of his connection with his estranged son, Anderson Lee Aldrich's father hurled anti-gay remarks. Anderson Lee Aldrich is the suspect in a mass shooting at a Colorado nightclub.

In an odd interview with CBS 8- San Diego, the father said that his main worry was if his son was gay after learning that he was accused of killing five people at a place for LGBT people.

"I was scared. I was like 'Oh my god, s-t, is he gay?' And he's not gay," Aaron Brink said during the interview for some bizarre reason.

Brink, who resides in San Diego and has had a long-standing rift with Aldrich, declared that he is against same-sex unions.

"I'm a Mormon," the former MMA fighter-turned-porn star said to reporters. "I'm a conservative Republican and we don't do gay."

Brink had been estranged from his son for some time

He claimed that after six months, Aldrich's attorneys called him and informed him that his 22-year-old child was a victim of the shooting at Club Q in Colorado.

"I don't what he's accused of. I can't get answers from the attorneys really, but they're saying it's involving a gay bar. I don't know what the heck he did at a gay bar," Brink said.

Brink was informed by a CBS 8 reporter that Aldrich is suspected of planning a shooting rampage at a gay bar that left five people dead and numerous others injured.

"OK, well s-t, he's accused of doing that, I'm glad he's not gay. I can say that, I'm glad he's not gay," Brink declared.

Aldrich is nonbinary and utilizes they/them pronouns, according to court documents in the mass shooting case that were made public on Tuesday. Unknown is their sexual orientation.

Brink went on to say that he thinks that men and women should have romantic relationships and that people "should stand up against homosexuality"-but not violently, he stressed.
