Exquisite Bride event

On Oct. 8, The Exquisite Bride, located at 5349 William Flynn Highway in Gibsonia, is partnering with Emme Photobooth for a fall fashion extravaganza featuring dresses for mothers of the bride and groom.

From 1-4 p.m., Emme Photo Booth’s mirror photo booth brings together touchscreen technology and selfie fun for an interactive guest experience. Everyone is welcome to join in the magical mirror experience.

A fashion of the latest fashions for mothers’ dresses will take place from 4-5 p.m. There will be gowns from Saboroma, Jovani, Colors, Terani, Montage, and others.

Guests must preregister for the fashion show by calling 724-443-0400 prior to Oct. 7. Registration will be capped at 30 (plus 1 guest each). Everyone attending will be eligible for a 10% discount for the week following the event. Champagne will be served. The fashion show is free and open to preregistered participants.

E-waste collection

Pennsylvania Resources Council will collect electronics for recycling on Tuesdays and Thursdays in October in North Park. Registration is required and currently open for the drop offs, which will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Tuesdays and 2-5 p.m. on Thursdays. At these collections, participants will pay a fee to dispose of some materials (such as televisions and computer monitors) while other items (such as cell phones and computer towers) will be accepted for free. Sealarks Women’s Group

Sealarks Women’s Group will meet at 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at Memorial Park Church, 8800 Peebles Road in McCandless. The group provides Christian fellowship and social activity for women alone — widowed, divorced or never married. All women alone are welcome to attend and consider joining. North Pittsburgh college fair

More than 120 colleges and universities will participate in the North Pittsburgh College Fair on Oct. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. The fair will take place in the Kerr Fitness & Sports Center at La Roche’s campus in McCandless. Admission and parking are free. Visit laroche.edu/npcf to view a full list of participating schools and learn how to register. One of the largest college fairs in Western Pennsylvania, the North Pittsburgh College Fair will host universities, colleges and technical schools from across the country.

High school students and their parents will have the chance to meet with representatives from each school to learn more about their campuses and academic programs.

President’s Challenge 5K Run/Walk/Wheel

Join the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association for the 22nd Annual President’s Challenge 5K Run/Walk/Wheel at 9 a.m. Oct. 8 at the North Park Boathouse. The event benefits the Steelwheelers, an organization dedicated to providing programs for physically challenged athletes from Western Pennsylvania, Northern West Virginia and Eastern Ohio. Trunk or Treat

Trunk or Treat is back from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 22. The event will be located in the Pine Community Park on the Pearce Mill Road entrance side. There will be a bounce house, pumpkin decorating, spooky games, potato sack races and more. B’s Sip of Summer truck will sell warm fall drinks like hot chocolate and hot apple cider. Halloween Popup Program

Sign up for the Little Medical School Halloween Popup Program at Pine Community Center. Kids ages 5-11 will get to do hands-on activities and learn about the parts of a bone, how to build blood “slime,” how to examine teeth and more. The popup will be on Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
