Reigning CIF Southern Section Division 2 tennis champion Arcadia High School and 2016 Division 1 runner-up San Marino are on a playoff collision course this season.

The two powerful programs could potentially meet in the Division 1 quarterfinals next week, according to the CIF-SS playoff pairings that were released Monday morning.

The Apaches (17-0) are the tournament’s No. 4 seed and will face visiting Loyola (13-5) in the opening round on Wednesday. The Titans (9-3) were given the de facto No. 5 seed and face visiting Westlake (11-4) on Wednesday.

That potential quarterfinal matchup could result in the winner facing reigning Division 1 champion and top-seeded Peninsula (19-0) in the semifinals.

Two other teams earned seeds, both in Division 4. Maranatha (13-1) is No. 3 and La Serna (16-1) is No. 4. Both face wild-card entrants; the Minutemen against Lakewood or Ocean View and the Lancers against Silverado or Downey.

Eight other league champions have home matches on Wednesday. In Division 2, Camarillo (9-5) will visit Pasadena Poly (14-1), Palm Springs (10-6) will travel to Walnut (16-2-1) and Simi Valley (11-7) will visit Diamond Bar (13-3). In Division 3, the Murrieta Valley/Corona Santiago wild-card winner will face Rowland (21-0-1) and the Pasadena/Thacher wild-card winner will travel to Keppel (14-6).
